Morning Session: Utilizing Gifts of Real Property and Closely Held Stock, Presenter Steve Watt, CFRE

With increasing interest in and significant wealth associated with real property and/or closely-held businesses, this session will cover the different ways these types of gifts can occur and how to be prepared when the opportunity presents itself.

We will review at least five ways to receive gifts of real property as well as questions you should ask about the property, and the costs associated with these types of gifts.

The session will also briefly look at gifts of family owned business interests and closely-held stock.  Steve will also share a few examples of actual gift situations.
